SCWS Minutes – Date: 7/21/2026 (Diana Garrett)
Location: 526 Broadway, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
Time: 11:30. The main topic of discussion was our 2027 Art Show.
Diana has been in communication with Jack Sprow <jsprow@santacruzca.gov> the manager at London Nelson Santa Cruz Community Center 301 Center St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.
We have the 96 linear feet hallway for the month of 2027 May. The center is open 9am to 9pm Monday thru Saturday.
- Action Item: Diana will ask Jack if we can have a reception room for First Friday on May 7th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and if Mother’s Day can be an exception for their hours. Proosal: pay for staff for the London to be open Sunday May 9th from 12-3pm.
- There are several cameras all around the Center when the Center is open.
- We can sell art with contact information, but no sales at the Center.
- Each artist needs to sign their Terms Agreement.
Linda suggested a hanging fee charged to the artists displaying work. All were in favor of Aimee’s suggested $10 a piece.
Diana provided the group with a treasury report- 20 members in good standing.

Welcome to our relaunch show 2025 sponsored by the Santa Cruz Watercolor Society. The show includes present work from our Santa Cruz Watercolor Society membership who participate in our weekly presentations and discussions (meetings on Tuesdays at 11:30 at the Santa Cruz art League). Our 2025 exhibit will also include a special section of work from Linda Lord’s Tuesday and Thursday classes that take place at the Santa Cruz Art League.
