Mandalas provide a perfect format for honing and expanding your color and design skills based on basic color theory and mixing pigments for clean expressive color. The focus of the morning session is“ Design through Color Value”. The focus of the afternoon session is “Expression and Mood through Color Schemes”. Students will leave with a greater understanding of how color works and how to mix colors without memorizing formulas or making mud.
Please bring snacks, beverage and a bag lunch. Material list will be sent upon registration. Materials list is also posted at ChrisCarterArt.com under “Workshops” Bring your morning coffee too!
Chris draws and paints daily in sketchbooks, studying the natural world and the inventions of mankind; cities, roadways, machinery and objects of all sorts. She brings the knowledge gleaned from these studies back into the studio to better express in large, abstract paintings, her greatest passion of all, movement through space and the patterns of energy.
