The Santa Cruz Art League will be hosting patrons, guests, friends, and artists for the First Friday of the Month Art Tour.
The new exhibit is titled, This is Santa Cruz – Countywide
Mar. 7 – 23, 2014, Reception: Sat., Mar. 8, 3-5pm
Come and enjoy fine art, cool jazz, artists, and interesting people. We will have Trio Pisano, a three piece contemporary jazz band, featuring jazz guitarist Jeff Buenz, Dan Robbins on Bass and Olaf Schiappaccasse on drums.
If you are a SCAL member, please join us then in the classroom to draw or paint (watermedia only) a live model wearing a colorful ethnic costume. The public is invited to see some our best figurative artists create. I plan to do this every month with a different multicultural costumed model. No fee, suggested donation to model $10. Next is Polynesian, then Ballet, Folkloric, Middle Eastern, Afro-Cuban, and more.
Come have a good time, drink some wine, enjoy finger foods, see what we are up to and meet some new friends.
