The Santa Cruz Watercolor Society annual meeting, potluck will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 11:30 AM at the home of Aimée: 229 Fridley Drive, Santa Cruz. Please make plans to attend this important event.
The annual exhibit, ‘The Best of the Central Coast’ is scheduled for March 28- April 20, 2014 at the Santa Cruz Art League Gallery, reception: April 6 from 2-4. The drop off date for paintings is Tuesday the 25th. of March from 1-5. Other details will follow our annual meeting on January 28 2014 (see annual meeting/potluck- 11:30 at 229Fridley Drive, Santa Cruz)

Linda Lord class at the Santa Cruz Art League
This class is geared for all levels. The main objective is to improve your skills, while having fun. Guided projects are a portion of each class session. Also covered areas are: How not to make mud, mixing greens that sing, and what makes a good composition. Bring your materials, ready to paint, and a sense of humor. Color and Light Intensive Advance your artistic self by devoting a weekend to painting in watercolor!! Bonni will lead a watercolor workshop in her Watsonville garden; it’s a delicious time of year to get outside and paint. She will demonstrate different techniques in the morning and give practical pointers throughout the day aimed at clarifying the process. Light refreshments will be provided. Bring a brown bag lunch. Offered: May 24 & 25 Time: 9:30 – 3:00 Fee: $150 / $130 Members. Instructor Bonni Carver was born and raised near Buffalo, New York, but lived most of her life in California. Attended the Academy of Art Studying with Charles Reid had a strongly influence and encouraged her to paint the figure. She has been an ongoing Open Studio participant. Has conducted art classes on international cruises, has been artist-in-residence at Yosemite National Park. Bonni has been teaching art for the past 13 years.
