Opportunities to Exhibit:
Scotts Valley Artisans is opening a working artist studio space in the King’s Village Shopping Center in Scotts Valley. The studio will house permanent studio space for approximately six artists. This space is situated between Scotts Valley Artisans Non-Profit Community Art Center and Bruno’s Restaurant, and adjacent to the Cinelux Theater, all of which receive a large amount of foot traffic. This studio will be not only a working studio but a retail space from which the artists involved will be able to sell their work. The current plan is to have the studio space move-in ready by August 1, and Scotts Valley Artisans will have a grand opening reception for the studio in either September or October. The cost to secure a space in the studio will be between $350 and $500 per space (depending on size and location within the studio), with the average working space measuring approximately 200 square feet. The mission of Scotts Valley Artisans is to help make Santa Cruz County a nationally recognized art and cultural destination center. This Scotts Valley location for working artist studio space is the first in what will be an ongoing effort to bring more artist studio/sales venues into the forefront of our County’s downtown spaces. If you’re interested in applying for studio space in this Scotts Valley location, please contact vpeyser@aol.com for additional information.
