Lee and Lincoln Taiz’s book, Flora Unveiled: the Discovery and Denial of Sex in Plants, published by Oxford University, is in press and will be available in December. In a nutshell, it’s about the deep history of the discovery of sex in plants (pollination), and the surprisingly persistent and heated controversy the subject caused until the middle of the 19th century.
