CALL FOR ARTISTS
SPRING FORWARD ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL, MARCH 10, 2012, 11am – 6pm:
Scotts Valley Artisans (a non-profit Santa Cruz County community art center) is hosting this mini art fair. Artists from Scotts Valley Artisans, as well as other local Santa Cruz County artists will be showing and selling their work outdoors throughout the King’s Village Shopping Center, including upstairs at Bruno’s BBQ’s new second story “Gallery at the Loft.”
If you would like to participate, please email us at dawn@scottsvalleyartisans.com. All spaces will be set up on the sidewalks, under the eaves of the businesses in the shopping center. Each space will cost $30 and will be approximately 8′ x 4′. This configuration will keep artists and shoppers under the eaves and out of the rain should the weather decide not to cooperate. Artists are welcome to buy more than one space. All space fees go straight to our non-profit art center, and the show is a rain or shine event.
The festival will be widely promoted via our own mailing list, the mailing lists of each of the 150 artists in Scotts Valley Artisans, full color posters all over the community, listings in every events calendar in every county paper, and press releases to all papers requesting coverage of the event before and during. We’re also hoping to get radio and tv coverage, and there will be heavy signage near the shopping center.
Please pass this email along to as many Santa Cruz County artists as you can. This will be a rare “Santa Cruz County Artists Only” event, and we’d like to host many more of these shows throughout 2012 and beyond.
