Weekly Critique group: Tuesday 1PM at the Santa Cruz Art League 526 Broadway. The third Tuesday of the month will be an open paint day and/or presentation day. These have proved to be enjoyable. In February, Charleen Unger gave a demonstration of her pouring technique. Thank you Charleen. The third Tuesdays, bring your supplies and join us or just join us for Critique any Tuesday.
The annual lunch/social/meeting for SCWS on Tuesday February 27 happened. The discussion centered around our coming show at the Blitzer Gallery this August and future plans for the society.

Workshops:
Through the NWWS: Mark E. Mehaffey will give a four-day workshop April 23-26, 2018 in Kirkland, Washington. The workshop is entitled, “Experiment for Fun, Design for Success’ and focuses on what is important to the artists to build the strongest paintings possible. Cost for NWWS members is $425, non-members $525. More information is available at www.nwws.org.

The new exhibit at Asian Art Museum in SF is a really stunning show. Entitled DIVINE BODIES, it features Buddhist and Hindu cultures and other materials on that subject. The
figures are some of the finest I’ve ever seen, and I think it is a very, very wonderful show.
